Man&#299 R&#257m had presented five of his sons including Aj&#257ib Si&#7749gh to Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh at Anandpur where they took <i>amrit</i> or baptism of the double-edged sword on the historic day of the birth of the <u>Kh</u>&#257ls&#257 on 30 March 1699. Aj&#257ib Si&#7749gh thereafter remained in attendance upon the Gur&#363.
